Media rights are trapped in the 20th century. Audiences and content creators need a better deal. Audiences are often paying more in the digital age. Creators in sectors such as music are earning less.
Do you ever find yourself adding up the cost of broadcast and streaming services you are paying for, looking in horror at the result of TV, film, and music services combined? You certainly would if you wanted to follow all live broadcast games played by your Premiership football team. With multiple streaming options, do you feel overwhelmed by the amount of content, yet you can never find that film that you really want to watch? Jean Luc Goddard films rarely feature on streaming services, yet every Fast & Furious film does. Netflix auto-plays the next 30-hour season, as you put off leaving the house at the weekend. I now avoid Netflix seasons, life is too short.
There is simply no film equivalent on offer.
However, unfortunately music streaming is not helping artists have sustainable livelihoods in music in the 21st century.

Music seems to give the best deal for those wanting the convenience of streaming. Audio streaming accessibility is clearly the best, the availability of content is plentiful.
